The Master’s program in Sports Psychology brings together two fields that significantly shape and connect both society as a whole and each of us personally.
Learn how to apply psychological principles and methods to the field of sports—and become an expert in supporting athletes, coaches, or teams with psychological aspects to improve their performance and promote their well-being!
Since the program combines two academic disciplines, we offer it in cooperation with IST Hochschule für Management - which specializes in sports science—while HSD Döpfer University of Applied Sciences brings expertise in psychology.
In addition to the core topics—(sports) psychological diagnostics, intervention methods, team and performance development, and emotion and motivation regulation in sports—students also acquire important skills in (data) analysis, research methods, and evaluation research.
In addition, both social and coaching skills are playing an increasingly important role for sports psychologists, which are primarily taught in the Sports Psychology Coaching module. The goal is therefore to adequately prepare students for such a responsible role and the profession of sports psychologist.
