The online course “Alternative Practitioner for Psychotherapy / Psychological Counselor” combines in-depth psychological expertise with practical counseling skills and targeted preparation for the medical examination administered by the public health officer. Over the course of 24 modules, participants gain a broad understanding of key topics such as psychotherapy schools, pathology, the DSM and ICD, behavioral therapy, systemic approaches, neuroanatomy, affective disorders, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders, suicidality, and legal studies. The course concludes with exam preparation.
Thanks to the digital format, classes held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the clearly structured curriculum, the course is easily compatible with work and daily life.
Particularly appealing is the combination of in-depth subject matter, practical applicability, and career prospects: Upon completion of the course and with sufficient attendance, participants can earn the “Psychological Counselor” certificate; after passing the exam administered by the relevant health department, certification as a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy is also possible.
