The MITOCUBE® is a compact hypoxic training device for home use that automatically simulates changing altitudes between 1,200 and 6,750 metres – comparable to an ascent from the edge of the Alps to Kilimanjaro. An oxygen-reduced air (hypoxia, e.g. 9–18% O₂) and oxygen-rich air (hyperoxia, e.g. normal room air up to 30% O₂) are inhaled at intervals via a breathing mask. These alternating oxygen phases are controlled fully automatically by the device, without the need for manual intervention. All you have to do is press ‘Start’ – the MITOCUBE® takes care of the rest.
